Annotation	The research aimed at the youth and their leisure time activities, the role of media in the socialization process was divided into two phases. The first phase attempted to map relations of the youth and Media. Apart from a family and school - traditional agents of socialization- the Media such as TV, IT, and mobile phones were taken into account. The selective sample was composed of two segments. The first segment encompasess set of respondents at the age of 15-30 and the second the respondents at the age over 30. Total size of the selective sample was 1176 respondents. The second phase of the research was carried out in 1998 and focused on data collection of three interconnected segments - students of secondary schools and training centres, their parents and teachers. Total size of the selective sample was 835 student (321 parents and 228 teachers). The research focused on leisure time activities with an emphasis on Media and IT, the special attention was paid to the problem of gambling.
