Annotation | The general goal of the whole project is to study quality of life of children and adolescents at the age of 6-18 in different settings, namely in selected health care facilities, elementary and secondary schools and counseling services. Attention is paid not only to ill but also to healthy children and adolescents. At theoretical level, main approaches to study the quality of life of children and adolescents is outlined. Apart from that individual, social and other factors are taken in account as well as chronological changes in quality of life will. The research surveys also potentials and limits of different interventions. At methodological level, knowledge about the most common quantitative and qualitative methods are overviewed. The special attention is paid to methods useful for studying preschool and school children. |

Note | An remarkable anthology is an output of the research. It has general (theoretical), methodological (diagnostical), and empirical part. The anthology comes up with new approaches, views and information about methods and results of research which enrich existing approaches. The work is focused at quality of life of children and adolescents. It needs to be stressed that the problems are multidimensional, multifactorial, multistratified and cuturaly and ethnicaly conditioned. |
