Annotation	This paper deals with main tendencies in development of young generation. It works with data coming from the government administration and researches carried out mainly by IDM (Children and Youth Institute of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport). This research report includes description of the situation in Czech republic in various sphere (legal arrangement concerning young people, education system, housing, labour market, values of young people, leisure time, social pathological phenomena etc.) and also opinion of young people on some issues connected to these spheres. The report also includes a list of civic associations aimed at work with children and youth.
