Research type bachelor thesis
Annotation The bachelor thesis deals with free-time activities of Romany children and young adults. The main focus of the thesis is on a project called Amari familija (Our family) which is carried out by a non-profit organization "The Association of Romanies in Moravia" and reacts to problematic situations, which occur in locations where this organization has its influence. Amari familija project is interesting as it is possible to involve parents and grandparents of children in preparation and implementation of the free-time activities. The main target of this thesis was to collect information about how often Romany children attend free-time activities offered by this project, if they enjoy coming there with their parents or in what other ways children spend their leisure time outside this project. Another objective to find out what are parent´s attitudes toward those leisure-time activities and if they believe that it is possible to eliminate socially pathological phenomena of children due to such projects.
