Annotation This research focuses on problems of effectivity and utility of drug prevention programs at Czech schools. A data collection started in April 2003, 2. 500 elementary schools and also a number of secondary school students participated in this project. As a sample of respodents was large (41.345), this research can be considered as one of the largest in the Czech Republic. The research is aimed at two files of answers – the first consists in answers of bosses and top managers of schools who specified which activities linked to a primary drug prevention are relevant and executed by their school. The second file consists in knowledge, opinions and attitudes of pupils of given schools comparing to drug incidence. With regard to a large amount of data, it was possible to compare the corelations of both files and draw a conclusion that drug preventive activities implemented by schools are linked to low drugs incidence and reasonable attitudes of pupils.
