Annotation	The study report from 1993 focused on drug addiction of youth is divided into three parts –theoretical, empirical and recommendations. The theoretical part deals with the history of drug abuse and its development in the Czech republic, it gives a definition of basic terminology, ways of diagnosis and healing and outlines discussions about legalisation and legal regulation. The empirical part is based on the research inquiry that addressed 600 respondents and provided a comparison by sex, regions and school types. The inquiry focused on crucial questions such as drug abuse, awareness about consequences of drug use, drug prevention and importance of family background. Suggestions about the drug prevention and adjustment of curiculum that would include information about drug abuse are the subject of the third part.
