Annotation	The research was caried out for the purposes of social project "Keys for life" and its results will be used for further activities of the project. The research focuses on theme „Healthy social climate in non-formal education“ i.e. secure, tolerant and intercultural living enviroment that should be accesible indiscriminately to all youth and children and ensure them fair opportunities to develop adequately the personality, knowledge and skills. The main objectif of the research is to describe family and social background of the youth and children at risk from social exclusion. The research aimed in particular at their value orientation, the ways of passing leisure time, relationship to school and ways of problem solving. The research is based on one hand on qualitative methods of structural interview with the youth and children at risk from the social exclusion at the age of 6-20, and on the other hand on quantitative methods of questionnaire inquiry carried out in organisations aimed at youth and children in the Czech republic.

Note	The research is part of the project " Keys for Life - development of key competences in the non-formal education" within a period 2007 - 2013. It refers to strategic documents of the Czech republic and EU concerning actual needs of target groups, observance of education law, conception of state policy and framework education programmes. The obtained data are useful for workers with children and youth at risk from the social exclusion for the purpose of better integration of the group to the non-formal education.
