Annotation	Main aim of the project is to reflect a read-out and developmental trends among current generation of youth at the turn of the millennium and at the turn of an important historical moment of the Czech Republic that has entered the European Union. Themes elaborated within this project are traditional sociological topics such as value orientation of the youth, their attitudes to minorities and marginal groups, leisure time and leisure time activities, social and economical status of the youth and their social and political participation. The research is comparative as it benefits precedent researches realising a development of the youth. Project supposes to elaborate both classical and new themes issuing from new social reality such as patriotism or Europeanism. The project is based on an empirical research and analysis of particular themes that are generalised and synthetic categories (life style, life career etc). The analytical and synthetic part of the research is followed by results from praxis related to governmental politics and prepared new law about the youth.
