Annotation Dissertation thesis is focused on the analysis of the quality of life of childhood cancer survivors. It is a part of a larger prospective longitudinal study titled The Quality of Life Longitudinal Study in Oncology Pediatric Patients (“QOLOP”). We used data obtained in the first phase of the project QOLOP (2007-2011) .The objective of the dissertation thesis was to analyse the quality of life of childhood cancer survivors in comparison with a healthy childhood population, and to identify areas most affected by disease and treatment. Depressive symptomatology was analysed as well, in cancer survivors in comparison with a healthy childhood population and childhood population with chronic non-malignant disease. The parallel aim was the comparison of the different diagnostic cathegories: CNS tumors, hematological malignancies (leukemia, lymphomas) and solid extracranial tumors.
