Teacher-pupil communication in educational process

Annotation	This dissertation examines the problem of communication skills at the level of teachers and pupils participating in the educational process. It aims to arrange the knowledge relating to communication from the following viewpoints - social, pedagogic, psychological and linguistic as well as from the perspective of the communication research history. The theoretical part focuses on verbal and non-verbal communication and set forth a concise overview of the aspects which influence considerably the communication of the educational process. The empirical part consists of two research studies. The first one deals with the question of whether Media education as the new sectional topic of the National Qualification Framework for primary education affects the pupils' communication skills. The aim of the second research was to determine whether the length of teaching experience affects communication skills in teachers who were divided into two groups based on the length of their teaching experience. At the base of findings obtained by means of the pedagogic research we have formulated recommendations for the pedagogic practice in terms of increasing effectivity of communication skills in both participants of the educational process, i.e. teachers and pupils.
