Annotation The project Students´ elections 2012 is a part of an educational program One world at schools and particularly of the project Who else? aimed at supporting of the youth in active participation in civic society. The main objective of the project is to introduce principal democratic principles to students, make them acquainted with an election system in the Czech republic and to support a dialog among students and their pedagogues concerning the administration of public matters as well as to increase the participation of first electors in elections. Students of secondary schools participate in “test elections” held one moth before regular regional election. They try to elect political parties standing as candidates to municipal councils in particular regions in the Czech Republic. More then 22 360 students from 170 secondary schools participated this year (6. 9. 2012) in the project Students´ elections 2012.
