Analysis of temporary and permanent dentin of children from Brno of 1-15 years of age with the focus on frequency of dental decay and teeth eruption

| Annotation | Prevailing issue of the presented rigorous thesis is analysis of cariosity in deciduous and permanent dentition of children from Brno at age of 1-15 years, and of eruption of individual teeth. The results acquired by the analysis of acquired data from health records of Brno children are compared with results of: - researches in 1994, 1997, 2000 and 2003. In total number there were checked about 90 000 individuals - anthropologic research of dental caries appearance at children of historical population in Old Slavic burial site of Pohansko Pohansko a), - national statistic surveys of below mentioned countries with the focus on the feature of dental caries appearance (DMF index). The issue under main consideration is an internationally comparable feature of dental caries DMF/DMFT which estimates whether at all and how often tooth decay appears. The task of a theoretical part is to illustrate the issue of dental caries and eruption of teeth from the perspective of ontogenesis, anatomy of dentition and individual teeth, epidemiology and histology of dental caries. A practical part focuses on analyses of data acquired by children dentists of Brno city region, then on evaluation of the research itself that is followed by comparison with values of referential databases mentioned above |
