Annotation	The topic of handicap was neglected in the Czech literature for children and youth in the second half of the 20th century. Only in the past two decades the topic of handicap has been emerging again and has been treated in various genre forms and with regard to various age categories of non-adult recipients. Handicap in literary works of contemporary authors is part of the main characters identity.
