Annotation	Thesis is focused on the issue of music preferences of adolescents and possibilities of their influence. Taste in music of this population can be determined by inner and outer factors. The thesis is concerned with factors including family background, peers relationships, music media, personal and situation variables. Factors influencing music preferences of adolescents were explored in the research realised on the population of 374 respondents in age of 12-18 years. For verification of hypotheses self-designed questionary and NEO personal inventary were utilized (Hřebíčková, Urbánek, 2001). Analyses of data were implemented with respect to differences in gender, age and personal characteristics of the participants.
