Annotation	The publication analysis main aspects of career decision making of the pupils of primary and secondary schools at the basis of a comparison with the enunciations of the students and their parents. We draw on questionnaire inquiry carried out in 2011, the analysis draws on 770 pairs of questionnaires from the primary school and 442 questionnaires from secondary schools whereas the answers of both pupils and parents were available. The questions concerned a choice of further educational career, a profession career from the point of view of primary schools ‘pupils, decision making about future school and profession in a family whereas opinions of pupils from primary schools are compared with opinions of those from secondary schools. An attention is also paid to the influence of pupil´s social environments on decision making about the future educational and professional career, again in comparison of pupil´s with parent´s views. A special attention is paid to information sources and their efficacy both of a personal and institutional type and the use of counselling services. In summary, basic findings about particular problems of a career choice and counselling are dealt and the recommendations are specified.
