Monitoring of the problems of handicapped children in the Czech Republic

Annotation The objective of the project “Monitoring of handicapped children (2010)” is to depict actual situation in the Czech republic, the research aimed at following problems: attitudes of handicapped childrens´parents who meet the problems in their everyday life, attitudes of expert public, state and state organs, NGOs, a perception of the problems by general public. We used a cluster of research methods such as an analysis of secondary sources, detailed outline of NGOs sector, deep qualitative interviews with parents of handicapped children, quantitative questionnaires among NGO agents, state deputes and Czech general public. The report contains not only the research evaluation of problems that have been propounded to respondent but also other spontaneously mentioned fileds such as a lack of finance, public ignorance, prejudices, a lack of interest of the state organs, unwillingness of state officers, limited possibilities of integration, a lack of free barrier.
