Annotation The aim was to form a comprehensive picture of the issue of corporal punishment. The theoretical part provides information about corporal punishment from different perspectives - historical context, possible consequences, and legislation in the Czech and global environment. The practical part is devoted to research. Its main objective comparison of parental attitudes to corporal punishment of children of preschool age in Blansko based on selected variables, age, gender, number of children, education and personal experience with corporal punishment of a child. A secondary aim of the research was to describe selected parental attitudes to corporal punishment. In practice, confirmed what was described in the theoretical part, and that corporal punishment is passed on generationally. Parents who were physically punished in childhood tend to punish and thus their children.
