Annotation The aim of this work is to explore the perception and understanding of existence by today's adolescents and describe the differences between adolescents who live in the village and in the city. The introductory chapters from a philosophical and psychological perspective characterizes existentialism in the context of its most important representatives. Another chapter is devoted to adolescence, changes and developmental tasks of this period. The practical part is focused on the research studies on the meaning of life. It were questioned seven adolescents aged 14-20 years. The difference between rural regions and urban adolescents stems from the specifics of socialization conditions that are most striking in the period of adolescence. The differences in the sense of concern especially value system.
