Annotation The program MARCO POLO held in 1997 was aimed at support of children and young people when establishing contacts with their peers from European countries and to deepen cooperation and their sense of belonging to Europe and its cultural and social values. At the request of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport the Children and Youth Institute carried out the research attempted to find out if participants of the program were satisfied with it, to what degree aims of the Marco Polo program were achieved and if the grants provided to NGOs were used effectively. Data were collected in a post survey –701 respondents participated in questionnaire.
