Annotation This thesis deals with the attitude of youth welfare officers to resilience and learned optimism at work with adolescent clients with risk behaviour. The theoretical part due to the usability of the performance section focuses on the conceptualization of the terms related to the chosen topic work. Methodological part presents the research, which was carried technique of semistructured interviews with 12 respondents - curators and their clients aged 14 to 16 years. The main finding is that the curators have positive attitude to these concepts in the sense that in its activities seek to reinforce the resilience and optimism among its clients. The author herself works as a curator for children and youth at one of the municipal authorities.
