Annotation The aim of this work is to answer the question whether fairytale text can help the child develop his thinking, emotions, imagination, attention and memory, or on the contrary when their lack of harm, from where one can draw fairy texts, where everywhere we meet them. The first chapter deals with the development of a fairy tale, its functions, types of tales, fairy tales interpretations in theater, radio and television broadcasting. The second chapter deals with a child of preschool age and its relationship to the fairy tale. The practical part includes the design and implementation of the project weekly O great beets. It was a week-long project. Children in addition to listening to tales produced beet, filled worksheets, singing, tasted, dramatized story. For literary model was chosen modern fairy tale Petr Šulc, since it corresponds to present a contemporary child.
