Mixed-age classes in kindergartens

Annotation	The aim of this thesis is to determine which factors influence the work of teachers in mixed-kindergarten classes. The theoretical part of the first chapter by working with literature explains through expert opinions and insights from research concept of "mixed age class" in preschool education. In the second chapter lists the conditions for the existence of mixed age classes in contemporary Czech environment and development curriculum for preschool education, which includes mixed-age classes. The practical part based on the research presented, which factors in the opinion of kindergarten teachers, facilitate or impede their work in mixed-age classes. The target population for this research is the director / directors and teachers / teachers in mixed-kindergarten classes and associated facilities primary school and kindergarten. As one of the main conclusions of the research can be noted that only some of the factors that facilitate or conversely that hinder the work of teachers in mixed classes for these specific classes, while other important factors are associated with age-homogeneous classes of kindergartens. Among the identified specific factors facilitating the work include the fact that mixed-age class creates a natural social environment in which children learn from each other. On the contrary, the general factors identified include lack of finance to pay teachers or classroom equipment necessary utilities.
