Helping children to become effective readers on primary school

Annotation The theme of this thesis is reading and education for him at the first grade of primary school. It is divided into theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part, in collaboration with literature author deals with the description, explanation and definition of knowledge related to the concept of reading. Beyond here describes the development of readers in his childhood, influences which, acting on it and what is its perfect development, what conditions it is important to set a supported this development. It also discusses the reading in the school environment as for its development established assumptions and what are the options and methods that can systematically develop children's reading and help promote it. The practical part presents the results of a questionnaire survey, which was conducted among pupils in 4th and 5th grades of elementary school. The research results show that reading is an integral part of the free time of children, children at this age they read books and reading is quite popular activity. Disparity between boys and girls in access to reading material there, girls are inclined to read a little more.
