Annotation	The main intention of diploma work is to strive for a deeper insight into the chosen problem and think about the effect children´s home in developing the child's personality, which has a major impact on the chances of success and the success of his own life. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The author deals firstly with theoretical definition of developmental psychology child. Another part focuses on the system of institutional care in the Czech Republic, specifically to children´s home care system with a focus on the actual development of the child's personality. The main aim of the empirical part is to find out how the personality development of a child in an children´s home, in particular through personal development programs, and what the public awareness on how education in children´s home.
