Annotation	The aim of this thesis is to explore the readiness of ninth grade pupils of elementary schools on the choice of future profession and determine their awareness of career counseling. The theoretical part summarizes information about career counseling at schools, persons providing career counseling, institutions providing pupils with information about other possible sources of information in this area. The practical part was to determine whether enough is preparing elementary school students on their choice of secondary schools in terms of career counseling. These findings present the results of a questionnaire survey among students selected ninth grade at the elementary school in Zlin, aimed at choosing their future high school.
