The diploma thesis deals with question of the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren, but also mutual solidarity between generations. In the first part of the thesis the author devote to the concept of solidarity. The second chapter is devoted to the family in the context of social change, but also relationships in the functioning family. The third part is devoted to grandchild and his childhood in connection with the grandparents. The fourth part is focused generally on grandparenthood and grandparenthood in terms of gender, age, it is presented here exemplary typology of grandparents but also the importance of grandparents.The fifth section discusses the relationship between grandparent and grandchild, the relationship between grandparents and parents. The last, sixth part is devoted to a critical view of the concept of solidarity.Among most significant results the research achieved, that the author found in this research, she would mention the following: Grandparents have influenced their grandchildren, even if the grandchildren are not always aware this influence. The influence of grandparents to grandchild has a large number of forms eg. in education, in relationships. The relationship between grandparent and grandchildren have many different forms (a pattern, an anti pattern, a friend, an authority, a stranger). Closer relationship between grandparent and grandchildren was among respondents, who were more often in touch with their grandparents in childhood. |
