The Analysis of Projects encouraging the Development of Reading

Annotation The thesis consists of the theoretical and practical part. The former deals with the theoretical definition of reading and reading literacy; the positive influences on reading and the characteristics of pubescent reading are also discussed. Further, the results of reading literacy researches are presented. The part of the thesis is the introduction and analysis of projects aspiring to improve the attitude of children to reading and books. This part summarizes the features, positives and negatives of the project method. The latter /practical part/ covers the draft of the project which should impress the pupils positively and make them work with the text actively. It should bring the positive influence on the attitude to reading including the appropriate methods which support critical thinking and reading literacy.
