Annotation The thesis, in the theoretical part, deals with the issue of school meals in the Czech Republic from the perspective of history and legislation. It primarily gives an overview of diet foods in school facilities in terms of legislation, the most frequently provided diet foods in school canteens and diet related diseases. The last chapter summarizes diet foods in Slovakia. The practical part is devoted to the individual steps of the implementation of diet foods in school facilities. In addition, it also describes the results of a questionnaire survey focused on school meals facilities in Brno, it examines their experience and viewpoint of the diet foods issue.
