Annotation	The research project of "Mapping and comparison of the national system of foster care with foster care systems in selected European countries“ was done with regard to the selection, conditions, the preparation and training of foster families, b) standard of support services for foster families". This research project took place from April to August 2010. Representatives of Lumos (formerly CHLG) and Amalthea worked together on the outcomes. Outcomes of this public procurement are: 1) methodological framework of the system of foster care in the Czech Republic based on the mapping of the situation 2) the process of negotiating with the candidate for foster care, including preparation, evaluation, placement of a child, and the subsequent support and control 3) framework of standards of foster care, principles and areas ( = individual standards) 4) education and training of applicants for the mediation of the NRP 5) legislative recommendations – a framework for legislative changes for the efficient and high-quality system of foster care, taking into account the needs of children
