Juvenile Justice in the Context of Youth Social Care System in the First Czechoslovak Republic

Annotation This diploma thesis focuses on the theoretical basis and practical functioning of the juvenile justice in the First Czechoslovak Republic. The thesis puts forward an analysis of the state of legislation before and after the Juvenile Criminal Act of 1931 came into force. Juvenile justice of the analyzed period was closely connected with youth social care system, especially in dealing with morally defective youth. The thesis provides a comprehensive view on judicial procedures and approaches applied towards the youth deliqunets and convicts and also on the main causes of the youth deliquency. The conclusion of the thesis come also from the information gathered through the primary research in the Moravian Land Archive in Brno.
