Relationship in a family, parents´interest (Bambiriáda 2004)

Annotation	The inquiry held by the National Institut of Children and Youth was carried out during the event “Bambiriada 2004” aimed at presentation of children and youth associations and leisure time centers. This event is organized annualy by the Czech National Youth Agency in several Czech towns. The inquiry in the form of questionnaire adressed 577 children in four Czech towns (Praha, Chomutov, Chrudim, Šumperk). Respondents at the age of 10-18 answered to questions concerning relationships in the family, parents’ behavior towards children, i.e. their interest in problems of their children, using of physical punisment etc. The inquiry also focused on children’s values and problems of young people and Europeanship (their basic knowledge of EU, advantages of the membership, respondent’s satisfaction with level of living in the Czech Republic). Motivations of children and a their source of information about Bambiriada were also investigated.
