Analysis of functionning of the Information Centres for the Youth in the Czech Republic

Annotation	The Information Centre for Youth (ICY), an allowance organisation of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport provides information and other services to the youth and public. Its objective is to enable them an access to information, to learn them how use it effectively. The National Institut of Children and Youth that have helped significantly to establish ICY carried out a questionnaire survey in 2003 in order to find out how individua ICYs centres function from the point of view of employees of these centres. The research covers 17 ICYs in total and the questionnaire contains 27 questions concerning following thematic fields: (1) Opening hours of ICYs and average daily visit rate, (2) Maintenance and personal constitution, (3) Provided information and services, (4) Information sources, cooperation with institutions and training of employees.
