Annotation | The objective of the research is to map a present situation of scout activities in the Czech republic. The research was divided into two phases – the first phase focused on internal enviroment of the Scout (clubs, centres and rovers) and the second phase deals with a perception of the Scout from the point of view of public and parents. The research is based on questionnaire inquiry, respondents were randomly chosen from lists of Scout´s members. The proceeding as an output of two years lasting research contains 9 different chapters written by different authors. The chapter 2, 3 and 4 focuses on leaders of scout clubs, scout clubs itself and leaders of scout centres and comes with basic results without any deeper interpretations.. The chapters 5 and 6 aimed at rovers and rover tribes comes with detailed analysis, evaluations and recommendations. The chapter 7 deals with value orientation of scouts and the chapter 8 is about leisure-time activities of today´s youth. Opinions and attitudes of public and parents are investigated in the chapter 9. The proceeding mapping the present state of Scout also initiate discussion about its future development. |
