Annotation The aim of research was analysis of demanding life situations, their appraisal and coping in primary school pupils. Sample consists of 206 pupils aged 13-15 years. The most common situations were family conflicts, death of close person and problems at school. The most demanding were death of close person and partner problems. Wishful thinking was most often used coping strategy; problem avoidance was least frequent. Correlation analysis showed relationship between appraisal and problem solving, cognitive restructuring, express emotions, social isolation and wishful thinking.
