Annotation In the 1990s there was a significant decrease in the birth rate of adolescent women in the Czech republic. Statistics show that whereas at the begining of this decade fertility of women at the age of 15-19 was 44, 6, in 1998 it was only 16,4% Adolescent motherhood remains an important marginal social problem that causes serious hit into individual life´s career of young people. This problem is closely associated with the low level of economical selfsuficiency, dependence on kinship social networks caused by bad financial and social situation and housing shortage. Morover a higher divorce rate of these woman and their status of bachelor mother during the most sensitive periode of a child is another dimension of the problem. The research focused primarily on educational deficiency of adolescent mothers as an negative consequence of early pregnacy and motherhood.
