Annotation The research project used a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodology. The work with adolescents at secondary schools was carried out within two separated but mutually interconnected stages. In the first phase the respondents were approached via questionnaires which surveyed school motivation, teachers’ educational styles and school atmosphere. The second phase was carried out via action research when social skills training was implemented into the educational process of first grade secondary school students. The impact of the training was further observed using assessment methods, field notes, and interviews
