Annotation	In the dissertation the author deals with actual thematic of Media Education, which was included as section modulus in the Framework Educational Programm for Secondary General Education. In the theoretical part, the author expresses her views towards the current situation of the researched problematic in the Czech Republic and also in foreing countries, further she focuses on more details in chapters relevant to the selected aspect of Media Education and of Media and Massmedia ? their characteristic, classification, meaning and also their impact on pupils at the secondary grade of basic schools. The author fucuses on aspects of Media and Media Education used by and with childern (the age category 11-15 years), therefore she considers within the first chapter of dissertation this developmental life phase. The empiric part contains the analysis of conducted researches, the goal of which was to judge to what extent the actual state of Media Education at the secondary grade of basic schools are used and to review the interaction of children and Massmedia. The application part constitutes topics (worksheets), which use activate methods and methods of critical thinking. The intention was to offer inspiration for the school teaching and also to make easy teatcher's work at the secondary grade of basic schools. The aspiration of the author was to systematize theoretical information and to offer a general view on the topic of Media Education. The outcome of the educational practise is a collection of topics for teaching Media Education at attending secondary grade of basic schools.
