Annotation |
This dissertation thesis deals with the multicultural education in the Czech educational system and it is focused on the knowledge and attitude of primary school pupils in this field. The dissertation thesis includes the theoretical and the empirical part. Basic terms related to the multicultural education, starting points and the entry of the multicultural education in the legal framework of the Czech Republic are defined in the theoretical part. The period of the young school age is also characterized in this part and the attention is given to the teacher who is one of the greatest implementor of the multicultural education in the school. The empirical part presents results of the quantitative orientated research with the aim to find out which knowledge and attitude have the primary school pupils in the multicultural education field. And there is the influence of the teachers to the knowledge and attitude of the pupils inspected. The research was done at elementary schools in the surroundings of Olomouc city and in the Vysocina region.
