Annotation | This research report contains a selection of the most important findings from three independent researches concening the prevention of habit forming substances minuse: (1) The research Prague-Amsterdam from 1995 focused on an extensive set of high school students from 8 most risky cities in ČR (carried out by the IDM); (2) The comparative research of efficiency of different forms of primary prevention (carried out by BML Praha) and (3) TV influence on children and youth (ASOV Praha). On the basis of the IDM survey (4500 respondents) it can be claimed that a portion of young people experimenting with drugs has not been decreasing, the age of first experience has decreased an offer of drugs has increased both in schools and its environment. In the second phase some questions about the preventive programs within school, awareness of the youth about risk of drug addition; evaluation of anti-drugs campaign. The third part of the research report deals with influence of Media on the youth and points out a negative influence of mass culture mediated by commercial televisions. |
