The motivation of students to tutoring children in Roma families

Annotation The main aim of the thesis is tutoring in Roma families, particularly through the "home teacher", which is implemented by the Multicultural Education Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, and reasons that lead students to Roma children tutored. The theoretical part explains the specifics of the "home teacher" and brings the work tutor students. It also discusses the Roma, their problems, and finally deals with the concept of motivation. The practical part is looking for answers on the author's research questions. Survey was conducted through focus groups and individual interviews conducted by the students of Masaryk University. Subsequent analysis and interpretation concludes that the motivation to tutor students initially meet specific interests and gain new experiences. Over time, the motivation of some turned into a feeling that tutoring makes sense.
