Annotation	By the acceptance of the Convention on the rights of the child, The Czech Republic has undertaken to monitor the fulfilling of the children’s rights and to submit reports on the implementation of the Convention in given time periods to the UN Committee. This research attempted to provide some data about the real impacts of the steps, which were taken for the improvement of the awareness of the Convention among laic public and also to find problems connected to its implementation. The implementation of the Convention is connected to many spheres such as social life, education, leisure time, culture, social and health care, jurisdiction, employment, and a family. A research team focused mainly on the issue of the awarness of the Convention and of its content among children and among public. There were two inquiries carried out in this research. First one focused on primary school pupils at the age of 10-15 years, second one on general public and primary school teachers from ten regions in Czech Republic.
