Ideas and expectations to students of sociology

Annotation The author, herself a student of sociology, in his thesis ponders the question of why students go to study sociology and what ideas and expectations are associated with this field. Focused on sociology students in Pilsen and Prague. The theoretical part first to a brief development of education in the Czech Republic, especially the change that the Czech education underwent after 1989. It is also described education nowadays and just motivations that lead individuals to study. There is also a chapter dedicated to the issue of limitations to access to education, because even today are still inequalities that deny admission to college. The theoretical part has ended the chapter devoted to the graduates and their labor market. Another part is devoted to methodology that builds on the last part, which is composed of the very analysis. The research showed that students in sociology is perceived as being prepared for a particular job.
