Annotation	Since 1994, the Children and Youth Institute of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has been observing attitudes and opinions of young generation with the aim to create time series. This research report is based on results of two separate researches – the first one was carried out in 1997 among secondary school students (957 people) and young people at the age of 20-26 (427 people), and the second research was carried out in 2000 among 805 secondary school students. Young people answered questions concerning employment, life values and ideals, leisure time, negative social phenomena, interest in public affairs, Czech and European policy, elections, ecology, religion, relationships in family.
