Professional activities of kindergarten teachers in the light of current Czech research

Annotation The aim of this study is to present research findings in professional activities of teachers in kindergartens and define the characteristics of the profession of kindergarten in the Czech Republic. The first part illustrates the growing scholarly interest in the teaching profession in the Czech Republic, summarizes the findings of available research professional activities of teachers. The second part describes the category of teachers in kindergartens, which constitute an important group in the Czech regional education. The third part presents the research whose main objective was to identify, name and record a kindergarten teacher Czech ordinary type of professional activity had actually carried out, to verify their existence and find out in three periods of the school year the proportion of time shortage teacher realization of selected types of activities within the designated weekly direct work with children. We can conclude that the professional activities of the kindergarten teachers would need to pay more attention, because in the Czech environment studies were focused mainly on primary and secondary schools.
