Preparednesss of workers with children and youth for the issues connected to the Europeanship

Annotation This report is based mainly on data collected by the Children and Youth Institute of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (IDM) during the Bambiriada 2000, event which took place in Prague. The basic file of respondents is composed of professional workers with youth and children, volunteers and activits who took part in the Bambiriada. This inquiry attempted to find out if and to what degree are those who work with children prepared in following spheres: (1) implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (knowledge of the Convention, opinion on its observance, participation), (2) socio-pathological phenomena among young people (drugs, kriminality, xenophobia), (3) new tasks in the sphere of education and leisure time ( education, unemployment, ecology, free time).
