The aim of this work is the help of literature to define the problem of pupil assessment in civic education. The theoretical part describes the assessment, its functions and forms that are used at the second grade of elementary school. Most attention is focused on the evaluation forms, mainly on the classification and the verbal evaluation, what are their strengths and conversely what are unsuitable for evaluation. The author also tries to explain how the assessment work to pupils and motivate them for further learning. The practical part is devoted to the questionnaire survey for the second level of elementary school. An important part of the research was the students' motivation in relation to the assessment. It is obvious that if the class was not evaluated, the pupil would be nothing motivated to further study and evaluation is therefore important. The research also shows that although most students will get a bad grade, has a greater tendency to be another class to prepare and sign a fix. Another problem that has been explored is the actual rating. It turns out that all teachers use assessment by vignettes. Teachers are themselves marking advocate and believe that performs all the functions that the evaluation should meet sufficiently inform pupils and parents, the parents are not convinced about it. Most of the surveyed parents and pupils agreed that it would instead prefer a combination of classification evaluation. |
