The particularities of vocational training of the mentally disturbed pupils in the cookery field

Annotation	The aim of this work is to outline the issue of vocational training of mentally handicapped pupils in the practical training of the field cooking work. In the theoretical part the particularities of the handicapped are established and the aims, tasks and organization of vocational education are described. In this part the Training Institution and Vocational School located in Pilsen are presented as well as the training field – cookery. In addition to it the didactic methods, principles are in question, that is why there’s given an account of some particular teaching techniques. The targets set in the practical part of my thesis are on the one hand to follow the teachers and pupils’ activities alike at four different workplaces and on the other hand to put to test the efficiency of the vocational training in the cookery field and assess how the pupils are able to work on their own. The output of the research includes the overall information on the assessment of the didactic methods used in the lessons of vocational training as well as the evaluation of the pupils’ work done on their own and the facts resulting from following interviews carried out with the teachers and pupils involved in all the four workplaces.
