Contemporary Literatura for Childern and Youth as a Possible Formative Element in Moral Education

Annotation The goal of this thesis is to find out whether the present youth is interested in the ethical value of a literaty work and in reading as such and whether there are enough books with an educational ethical aspect in the market. The first part closely examines the history of Czech literature for children and youth, from its beginnings to the present. It represents literature for girls and boys. It also characterizes the concepts of education, ethics and morality. The second part is devoted to research. Method of questioning was investigated what literature, what book titles have an impact on behavior and moral attitudes of contemporary youth. The research show that the present students are not interested in the ethical issues in literature. The present teenagers are still interested in reading. There are enough books with educational ethical aspect in the market at present.
