Care of talented children and youth in the western Bohemian region

Annotation	This research investigates a level of care of intelectually talented youth in the western Bohemian region. Firstly the research report describes and compare a situation in the selected region in the middle of 1990s and today and then presents results of performed research. In 1996 nine independent researches were carried out. It was research among participants of courses intended for teachers from primary and secondary schools; an inquiry among organisators of supporting activities for talented youth; a research among University teachers and students. Objectives of the research was to elaborate a case study about networking in the selected region, i.e. to analyse processes of the network forming, level of internal communication, cooperation and its impacts on education of talented youth. Another objective was to carry out series of complementary and chronological researches that would verify hypotheses and reliability of suggested solution within the monitoring system. The research also attempts to elaborate a draft of administrative measures for public service aimed at the support of functional educational model for education of future gifted youth at subregional, regional, supraregional level.
