Annotation | The thesis deals with the knowlege of the capital letters among children in pre school period. The theoretical part of the thesis includes issues of school maturity and learner's development. It also examines pre school knowledge of children according to school framework. The research is focused on learner's ability and development of pre school period as one of the stages of human development. It also desribes methods of training in reading for primary schools with an emphasis on analytical-syntetical method. The practical part of the thesis deals with its own research, where it is tested with number of children who are already able to name and recognize the capital letters. The aim was to determine on a sample of 120 preschool children attending kindergarten, what percentage of children is able to block letters, how many letters the children know on average how many children will read short words consisting of three or four letters. |
